What is ethical competence? Join the discussion!

We are currently working on the concept of ethical competence as we believe it is an essential concept to consider in the context of a new humanism. We think ethical competence can be understood as ‘the ability to apply specific skills and attitudes to help orient your ethical sense’. That competence would consequently allow you to judge on ethical issues  and to make ethical choices. We’ve developed a simple scheme to visualise what we think these skills and attitudes should be.
