With the New Humanism Project, we were invited to attend a gathering at the Peace Palace in The Hague on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of The Earth Charter.
In the words of the organisers:
In the Earth Charter Preamble we read: “We must join together to bring forth a sustainable global society founded on respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice, and a culture of peace.” The Way Forward reminds us: “We must deepen and expand the global dialogue that generated the Earth Charter, for we have much to learn from the ongoing collaborative search for truth and wisdom.”
